Hi to All

I have a VFP Application (Created using Version VFP7.0), my database is SQL Server and my Reports are created using crystal reports 8.5. I distribute to my client machines an executable of my application (among other files), and my reports and database reside on a server machine.

Since I am new with Crystal reports I don't know what dll's I am supposed to distribute and register on my client machines, so that they work without having to install crystal reports. I have done some research on my own and found out that I certainly have to distribute and register CRViewer.dll & Craxdrt.dll on my client machines. However when I try to preview the reports I get this error "Physical Database Not Found".

I have created the DSN(using odbcad32.exe) required on the client machine to connect to the database.

1. Is there another dll I am supposed to distribute that connects to the sql server?
i.e. P2Ssql.dll, What is causing the problem?

2.What Dll’s I am supposed to distribute when I want my users to Use the Export Facility of CR8.5?

There is a help file that gets installed with Crystal Developer and provides detailed answers to the question of what dll files you need to include in your install.

hth,
- Ido CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Hi,

See file:
c:\program fiels\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Developer Files\Help\Runtime.hlp

This will let you know what files are royality-free, and which are not....ensure you read this.
For RDC Method:
CRAXDRT.dll, crpaig80.dll, crviewer.dll, mfc42.dll, implode.dll, msvcrt.dll, sscsdk80.dll
For Automation Server method and active-x methods you need a couple other files...which method are you using? Don't forget to add References to Crystal files under the Project menu...

I don't think you need P2Ssql.dll unless you specified this driver within your Crystal report (See Database Menu, then Convert database driver to see what you are currently using.)
