I need to create a cross tab report from a text document. I have no experience in this at all. Here is a sample of the text I get.
00000008309930000000.855 000010000000000000012555555
Each number is a column that pertains to different things. ie; first 10 are id #'s next 2 are specialty #'s, next one is Age, and columns 14 - 24 are Weights. Everything after that pertains to and answer on a questionaire.
I connected the text document to crystal reports via an ODBC connection for text documents. I know i will need formulas to get the desired result I need. My question is with the formatting of the text document. How do I need this formatted so I can easily pull out the columns I need to do the calculations correctly? Do i have to create different documents for different column sections?
