Crystal Reports and Retail Star

Does anyone out there use Crystal Reports to pull data from Retail Star by CamCommerce? I'm having trouble running the reports that I need in Retail Star b/c it always locks up on me if the date range is more that a month or so or if there is to much criteria involved. Running the reports from Crystal seems to be logical except for I can't find a glossary for all the data codes that Retail Star has in their Schema, so I have to pick and hunt for what I need. Any ideas or suggestions out there??
