Crystal Reports and Intranet

I am new to Crystal Reports XI and am running the developer edition. I have read that you now need the Enterprise server to schedule and run reports which will be placed on the server for viewing. Can anyone tell me if there are other methods of scheduling reports at a certain time and placing them on the Intranet say using an FTP program to move them from one directory to another. I will need to do some research on my end but was curious if anyone could speak to how this could be done with their experience and knowledge. I don't know all the things that Enterprise will do for me but know the price tag is hefty. Any insight would be extremely appreciated.

Yes the server is also an option but still costs money which my corp. is not willing to spend at this time. I need to determine if there are other ways to accomplish this and then present all the options to them going forward. I would like to go the server or enterprise route but need to examine and present all the options. Thanks to anyone who could provide some insight.

There are many 3rd party products that will schedule and publish reports to directories, etc.

- or APOS (located in Canada) - and that is just off the top of my head.

I will say that you get what you pay for - and although these 3rd party tools have the functionality you are looking for - they may not provide functionality that you have not thought of/identified as being a business need as yet.(row level security, etc) BOXI is a mature product and well catered for in this area.
