Anyone out there in the Philanthropy community using Raiser's Edge 6 and CR7 ? I am told that there is no way to directly link CR7 into RE -- that I have to dump out all of my data into an Access-like database and then do my CR reports against that-- yuk!!! Can't I do something in real time via ODBC?

Thanks,
Milin

Direct links are available only for the most popular database engines, and for ODBC. Do you have an ODBC driver for Raiser's Edge - it should work.
Malcolm Wynden
wynden@island.dot.net

Thanks Malcolm
I'm not sure how to answer your questions - the last system I used it was all set up for me. If I go into CR and pick the New, SQL/ODBC button, I do see a line for ODBC Blackbaud. When I click on it I get a user id and password screen to "Connect to SQL Anywhere" Does that Mean I have a driver installed? Does that mean my IT department has the server passworded?

Thanks,
Milin
