I have a Crystal report version 9 which is very simple and is about 40KB in size. When I insert the company logo as a picture, filesize typically 70KB, the Crystal Report size jumps to about 1200KB. Why the dramatic increase in size ?
How can I stop this and keep the .rpt file at a sensible size ? I'm aiming to email the output so I want the output file to be no more than 200KB.

Picture file formats tried are .jpg, .tiff, .png.

Unfortunately I think Crystal helpfully converts image to a bitmap, that is why you see a dramatic increase in size.
