Crystal Reports 8 work with Excel 2007? 1

I have Crystal Reports 8 loaded on a Windows 7 laptop and tried to connect to an Excel 2007 spreadsheet. When I try to connect via ODBC drivers, it says there is nothing there, even after I had selected the worksheet. Are the drivers incapatable?

CR 8 existed long before Excel 2007 existed. I can only think that if there a way to save the Excel 2007 as an Excel 2003 or 2000 spreadsheet (I do not have Excel 2007, so I do not know the save options), then you could use it as a datasource. Also remember that if you have Windows 7 64-bit, then you have to make sure you set up your ODBC connections using the 32-bit ODBC Adminstrator.
