I have inherited a system/server that had Crystal Reports 8.5 pro installed on it(it shouldn't have since reports are not written from there) and an application that used CRViewer 8.5. We upgraded the application and it changed to CRViewer 9. Now I have all sorts of problems. I have removed Crystal reports from the server but it didn't change anything.

1."crview has generated errors...."
2."access denied"
3."invalid tlv records"

Anybody have any ideas on this?

"We upgraded the application and it changed to CRViewer 9"

Was this application tested on other systems, or just the developers?

Are you sure that everything was upgraded?

TLV implies an older version Crystal Report has become corrupted (TSLV is recent), have you tried other reports?

I would also suggest that you apply the hotfixes.

If it were corrupted would I still be able to run it in viewer 8.5.
This is a POS application that is running fine on others computers. And everything is upgraded with their upgrade program.

I do get some reports that report TSLV as well.

Could be a viewer issue, or many other things specific to that machine.

Try locating the viewer and deleting it (and make sure it isn't registered), and then reinstalling it.
