Crystal Reports 8.5 and Memo Field

Hi

I use Crystal 8.5 with an Oracle db. I have created a report which has a memo field. (I am NOT sorting or grouping on the memo field) The report only displays the first character of the memo field. Any ideas on how I can get it to display the entire contents of this field?

What connectivity are you using? What version of Oracle? WHat is the data type in Oracle? Sharing specifics helps.

Try switching to another type.

If you're using the Oracle supplied ODBC driver, don't, there are LOTS of problems.

Native connectivity is the fastest. If you're compelled to use ODBC, use the Crystal supplied ODBC for Oracle.

You can also use a SQL Expression to Cast/Convert the field to a varchar or some such.
