Crystal Reports 8.0 web server problem

Our Crystal Reports Server is down, but there does not appear to be a problem with the server. Our users are getting the following error message:

The page server that you are trying to connect to is not accessible. Please contact your system administrator. [Connecting to Page Server" pdreports]

Has anyone else experienced the same problem? If so, how did you resolve the issue?

The page server is part of the CR web hosting feature.
(The Process is pagerserver.exe)
This needs to be running so CR can generate the report.

FYI the pageserver.exe is what does the page on demand
