Crystal Reports 7 Returning Different Results on Different Systems

The reporting program we are using is only compatible with CR7 (we are using CR8 and saving as CR7).

Earlier this year we started upgrading our OS from Windows NT to XP. It was not long after we started this that we found that some reports run on the upgraded systems returned errors when trying to run them, or returned different data than the older systems. For example, reports that used to return the most recent entry in a record now return the first entry, or fields that return a result from an If/Then formula return data with nothing in common with the formula or no data at all.

We were unable to figure out the problem, but there was one computer with XP installed that ran the reports correctly. We used the image of that computer to upgrade the others, and everything was fine.

Now we are setting up a Citrix system, and the same issue has resurfaced on those workstations logged into Citrix. I wish we had some idea of the reason for these errors so we could actively eliminate them rather than avoid them.

Does anyone have any insight?

If CR7 allows you to check the SQL for your select command, check that.

For ordering, is the sort order explicit? Again, I'm not sure if you can control this in CR7.
