Does anyone have the process documented on the correct way to export a Crystal Report to get a tab delimited file? I have looked in Crystal documentation, searched many sites and discussion threads, and found similar issues, but no real solutions. I have tried exporting many ways with no luck. I either get extra lines between the records, extra tabs, cut off data, etc. Thank you so much for your help!

From what I recall, tab delimited (i.e., csv) export is similar to doing Excel data only export. Everything needs to be lined up precisely (headers, data), preferably no gaps horizontally or vertically.. Sub-reports are problematic (although possible in most cases).

Use the DATA behind the report. I retired a year ago, but I recall being constantly frustrated with either Excel or delimited text files from reports.

So I ALWAYS exported data directly from the query that produced the reports. ALWAYS!!!
