Hello. We've recently updated Crystal Reports with Peachtree within our company and I'm starting to have trouble retrieving data from the database(our server - Windows Server 2003). When I try to preview the report in Crystal Reports the following pop-up windows surfaces.
1. Failed to retrieve data from the database
2. Failed to retrieve data from the database.
Details: ADO Error Code: 0x
Source: Pervasive PSQL OLE DB Provider
Description: [LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface[Syntax Error.[Database Vendor Code: 268435456 ]
3. Failed to retrieve data from the database.
Details: ADO Error Code: 0x
Source: Pervasive PSQL OLE DB Provider
Description: One or more errors occured during processing of command.
Native Error: [Database Vendor Code: 268435456]
The above 3 popups pop up and there's no way around it.
The following is what I have done. Peachtree(2010 version) has been updated in the users security category. User is set to crystal without a password. I've went into the server to check ODBC sources. It seems okay, all databases are set to allow users, I can view the database from Crystal reports. As I'm doing more research, I've found that the Peachtree database in Crystal reports is a OLE db, not an ODBC. I'm not sure if this is causing the problem, it's what I've been working on for the past few hours. I've tried to install OLE db drivers for Windows server 2003 but to no avail. It was a lot more complicated than I expected. I've been searching everywhere for an answer, I haven't found many results involving both Peachtree and Crystal Reports. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your reply Turkbear. I can't believe it was just one check mark that held me up for the past few weeks. I kept reading on about how permissions between windows server and pt will affect the report. Thank you very much for your help. I probably would have went for weeks without a solution if it wasn't for your input.

Hi,
No problem, glad I could find it..
Don't you just love it when 'improvements' make things worse.....[mad]
