Crystal report using Excel as data source

How do I define the data source when it is an Excel spreadsheet? Up to now I have only reported from an SQL data source
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Use the MS supplied Excel ODBC driver.

This will assume a flat file sort of design to the spreadsheet.
