Hey all,

I've created a Crystal report to replace the Report Writer report for our pack slips.

No - I don't need to figure out how to integrate it with GP.

My problem is the comment fields at the bottom of the report.

I've found that they are located in SOP10106 (fields Comment_1 through Comment_4). When I create a link to this table and place the fields on the report AND the sop document doesn't have any comments (no record in SOP10106), then the report page comes up but then entire thing is blank.

How do I get it so that only the Comment fields would be blank and not the entire report?

Are you using a left outer join to the SOP10106 from the SOP10100 table? If it's an equal join and the document doesn't have a comment, nothing will print.

Also, just my 2 cents, but I find it better to use CMMTTEXT in Crystal and not the 4 individual lines (Comment_1 through Comment_4) because those will only hold 50 characters each, but the user can actually type in just under 500 characters, which will only be visible using CMMTTEXT.

Thanks guys,

I'll take a look at what it is when I get a chance Luvsql.

Thanks for the tip vick400 - we're currently using Comment_1 through Comment_4 for various things and the current Pack Slips print them out that way, so I'll have to keep them the same, otherwise I would love to do that.

Thanks Luvsql - switching that the Left Outer Join did the trick as it was set as an Inner Join before.
