where can i find an index of all the caned Crystal reports for macola? My Progression Workflow Explorer crashes when I try to run a Crystal report and even tho' it shows the report titles I can't figure out the actual file name of the report I'd like to modify and customize.

Also, is there a comprehensive data variable dictionary/index for Macola?

Thanks

Please post the exact error message you are getting from PWE, verbatim, and we'll solve that issue as well.

On the data variable dictionary, there is a DRM - Developers reference manual - that is downloadable, or it can be installed on the workstation if you own Flexibility. Go to the Customer Portal and search on DRM and you should be able to find these documents.

Here's the error when I launch PWE:

"AppName: maccrvwr.exe AppVer: 1.2.0.32 ModName: oleaut32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00004915"

Couldn't find the DRM on the site you mentioned

For a list of available crystal reports, I think the easiest thing to do is log in as SUPERVISOR and go through the trx menu's and reports menu's and look for all of the reports with a lighter colored icon. Those are typically crystal reports. When Macola adds menu items, including these reports, it only does it to SUPERVISOR, DEMO or GUEST users.

For the DRM's go to the customer portal, click on "Progression Series Support", click on "Reference Library" then click on "DRM Documents" under the Getting Started section.

As for the error running one of the reports, here's a few questions.

*Btrieve or SQL
*Version of Macola
*Which report menu name is crashing
*Do other Macola ICR reports work from this workstation
*Does this report work from another workstation

If you search via explorer for *.rpt under the rpts folder, you will get the list. The maccrvwr error may be a dll problem. I have a routine I use when I install compiled 7 or 8.5 reports in pwe that has necessitated adding registry keys for the 2 versions to co-exist, even if you don't have the crystal client on the workstation. I'll post the syntax for this later after I get the info off the terminal server. You also need to download & register dlls to run pdf exports and mapi exports. You should be able to open the rpt in a crystal 7, 8, 8.5, 9. or 10 client. If you've been on macola a while, you should have a filelo folder under technotes. You are looking for tcoll75.zip. This file contains the file definitions.
