Crystal Report Launcher 1

Hi,

Is there a utility within Crystal Report which can be used to just present the report (format and data) without showing the design of the report?

Is Crystal Reprot Launcher the right utility to do this? Is Crystal Report Launcher a component of Crystal Report?

Please help.

You didn't mention what version you are using but a compiled report appears to be what you want. Select
Report->Compile Report and save. This creates an .exe file that anyone can run and they can never modify the report design, formula logic, etc.

You can download a "Compile Expert" for Crystal by going to: support.crystaldecisions.com/updates/ and doing a search for: SCR8_DISTR_EXPERT.exe (run & install this) There is a warning that this expert may eventually be phased out...but it was just updated in October 2001!

If you've installed Crystal Enterprise (included with Cr8.5), that includes a free report viewer that doesn't refresh the report data. it's just for viewing static reports - it's one of the downloads from your Enterprise server. Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear
