Hi,
I'm running a report CRXI from BOEXI. The report was running fine till friday. Now, the report is taking long time to open & after few mins got timeout error"Error occured on server"....Any clue how can I fix this.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
What changed in your environment/Server/etc.?

How are you running it ( InfoView, custom code, etc.)
What database and connection method.

Can any report that uses that datasource run?

Nothing has changed in the Environment/Server.
I ran the report in Infoview & CMC(preview section). Sometimes report shows in 4-5 mins & sometimes gives error "An error occured. Request time out". But when I run the report on CRXI, it takes 3 mins to run. I have Oracle 9i & connection ODBC.

Hi,
First thing I would do is dump the ODBC and use the Oracle native connection method.

Are you running the CRXI on the web server where CE is installed?

Try using the Sql that CR creates ( ShowSql on the Database menu) directly ( in SqlPLus maybe) and see what the performance is like...

I may be approaching the timeout set on the server, so optimizing it will help.

As Turk suggests, native will prove faster, and may eliminate the need for further discovery.

Also make sure that whatever is in the Report->Record Selection->Formula is reflected in the Database->Show SQL Query.
