Hi all,

I am using Crystal Report 2008 and Oracel 10G database.

Is there anyone having good experience how to export from Crystal to Excel without row and column merged? Customer required no merged row and column for Excel files, they need clear know the each fields from which row and column, I know Crystal and Excel not play well together, I mean is there any other idea from Crystal design or any formula that can solve the issues?

Thanks,

There are certain rules to follow, including:

1-Format all fields in the section to be the same height (select all fields in section->format->make same size->height.
2-Attach each field to both vertical and horizontal guidelines, attaching neighboring fields to the same guideline (no space between).
3-Attach labels to the same vertical guidelines if possible as the fields they correspond to.
4-Move the fields to the top of the section using a guideline and then minimize the section height by drawing up the bottom until it reaches the fields.

When exporting, choose the report section that displays the fields as the one to determine column width.

Hi lbass,

Thank you much for your help! May I know which category select to export after follow the format? Microsoft Excel 97-2000(xls) or Microsoft Excel 97-2000-Data only (xls)? It will apply to report header too?

Thanks again!

I prefer the regular export, but you could try either.
