Crystal Report DSR loading very slow, Help please

I am using crystal DSR reports wit vb sp5 and sql2k on XP Pro. sp1
everything was working fine. Very recently i noticed that my crystal dsr reports taking too much time to load. almost 45 seconds. It is slow when i am on network. otherwise it is fast. i.e if i unplug the network cable then i run vb project and load the report, it will be loaded fast.

i recently did a microsoft updates and sp for XP pro. Also i upgraded my office xp to office 2003. I noticed that only crystal having issue, rest all works fine.

I appreciate eveybodys help towards this issue

Hi, I am having a similiar issue. I am using Crystal 8.5 with an intersystems Cache 4.x database. My reports use an odbc connection to connect to this database. For some reason these reports started also to take about 45 seconds to 60 seconds to load. Once it loads the performance of the report is excellent. I am getting this problem both in the application that accesses this database as well as in the crystal report writer 8.5 application.
The pc I am using is an xp box with the most recent updates loaded. I also have a client that is having the same problem. They just implemented a new network with state of the art servers and workstations. They are using windows 2003 and xp workstations as well.

If anyone has an idea as to why it would take a report so long to open your help will be greatly appreciated.
