I am using Crystal Reports XI and have created a report using a stored procedure and linking it to the part master file. It works fine on my pc. I have the part number part discription and reciepe code in the header. The part number is a parameter and the part description and reciepe code are in the parts master. It works great on my pc, where I created the report... I send it to anyone else in the company and the reciepe code does not show. The field is there - it's just blank.

Anyone ever seen this one?

Does everyone in your org have the same access to the part master file to access the "reciepe code" in the same location (eg. ODBC Name, etc)?

In the page header? Are the other users using the same parameter value? You could also check to make sure that if you display the three values in the detail section that they are populated in every row. The page header will only pick up the values in the first row on the page, so if you happen to have a null in a field in the first row, it wouldn't appear when placed in the page header.

MJRBIM - Thanks for replying..

Yes everyone has the same permissions.. In fact - I sent it to my supervisor - the system admin - and the field does not show on his preview either.

LBASS - Thanks!

I have two fields in the report header - the part code description and the reciepe formula description. The part code description works great - the reciepe formula description is the missing one. Both come from the Part Master.

The part description is a string field and the formula description is a memo - could that be it?

Are all the workstations running crystal XI? You could not write formulas on memo fields prior to Crystal XI. If they have v9 or 10, they will still be able to open your report and run it, but it may not recognize the formula on the memo field.

Did you check whether they appear in every row in the detail section? Also, try placing them in a page header section instead. You can always suppress the page header with: pagenumber <> 1

dgillz,

Sorry - I am not using a formula. Just dropping the field in the header.

And we are all using the same version of Crystal.

lbass,

I have moved it all around - even put it in the detail section - it just does not show.

Have you tried to verify the database (database->verify database)?

Are you all using the same drivers?

-LB

Yes we are using the same drivers. ODBC native.
