I use a report in VB (created in Cystal Reports Version 7.0) that have grouped and detailed values. There is a neat feature (drilling-down) you can utilize where you can isolate any particular grouped data (and corresponding details) to appear by itself on the report by double-clicking on the group heading (you will usually see the mouse pointer turn into a magnifying glass). However, when I do this I lose any page header information. Is there any option I can select or any other workaround I can perform to have the page header information and the particular grouped data remain on the report. Thanks in advance!

This is assuming the data you are drilling down on is in the detail section.

You can add another detail section to your report. Add your headers to Details A and then put your data in Details B. This will show your header information in the drill down tab.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi there,

There is an article within the Crystal knowledge base which addresses this issue. Creating "fake" page headers for Drill Down Pages. Search for c2003773. This really worked well for me.

Thanks Nuffsaid.

It worked like a charm. However, I can't wait for my company to get CR 8.5. I understand they have this feature built in.
