Hi to all
I am new to CR but given a task to use CR to put together reports for Track-it. I know that trak-it got CR integrated but, unfortunately, our company do not use it. Instead, we have CR ver 10. I installed CR and map database to Track-It's mdb file. I am able to see all the tables. My understanding is table TASKS is the one that have all the helpdesk record. I can create simple report definition with the CR but when previewing the report, it give me the following error...

DAO ERROR CODE 0XC4F
Source DA.database
ODBC - connection to trackit failed

Any idea, please? I know that when I click report tool in trackit, i got a security level not high enough. Is there any relationship?

Thanks,
TC.

What do you mean by creating a simple reporty definition, I don't know of a Crystal report definition tool.

Are you saying that it allows you to see the tables but not the data while in CR, or are you trying to use the report within the Trackit application?

The latter probably won't work.

Hi
Sorry for the confusion, what i mean is...
In CR, I can see the tables and the field and can select the field to create a report. When i try to preview/run the report, i got into trouble.
I use the CR outside trackit. I is not running as part of trackit.

Thanks,
TC

What happens if you right click a field in the report designer and select Browse Data?

I would guess that this is a connectivity issue, if I recall, Trackit has some pseudo security within, might even be that they placed the letter i in front of each login, can't recall, but I have worked with it.
