Nov 7, 2007 #2 MJRBIM MIS May 30, 2003 1,579 CA The big change in the RPT engine was between CR 8.5 and 9. I think you would need to move your RPT from CR 7 to CR 8.5 first, then you can use the XI tools to open a CR 8.5 RPT. Upvote 0 Downvote

If that doesn't work, please detail the error message you get. Is it for all Crystal 7 reports or just one? I think the versions are supposed to be upwardly compatible, but 7 to 11 is a big jump.
