Hi, we have an Oracle 7 database which is going to be upgraded to Oracle 9i database. Also, there are some reports developed by Crystal Reports 3 using the Oracle 7. So I would like to ask do I need to upgrade those reports in order to connect with the new Oracle 9i Database. Thanks your kindly help.

Hi, After installing the new Oracle client on
the workstation(s) running the reports ( and removing the v7 client), use the 'Database - Set Location' option ( if that exists in CR3!!) to redirect the report to the new server instance ( use an Oracle native Connection, preferably).

Thanks a lot. So I don't need to re-write any report or upgrade CR3 to the latest version, is it?

Hi, AFAIK, no...As long as the report can connect to the data, it does not really care what version the DB is.( You may have to do a 'verify database' for the reports due to possible differences in the Metadata, but only testing will tell.
