Crystal Query as the source for Crystal Report

I have written a query in Crystal Query and am attempting to use it as the source for a report. When I select "Query" from the "REport Expert" and select the query I wrote, Crystal does not allow me to move to the next step of selecting fields....etc. It keep telling me to select a table in step 1.

Is there something I am missing about using a Crystal Query (I usually use ODBC and stored procedures) as a source?
