I am having an issue with the Crystal offline viewer. After installing the viewer the .rpt file is not recognized as being associated with the Viewer. It appears that I have associated .RPT extensions with the Offline viewer but the icon does not show up correctly for the attachment and it gives the error:

The file does not have a program associated with it.

I go into Windows Explorer and go into File Types and it appears .RPT files are assocated with the Crystal Offline Viewer.

For other users just installing the Crystal Offline Viewer made the proper assocation and the attached report has the proper icon.

Any help?

Bessebo

Hi,
Which version of Windows?
Are you logged in with Administrative rights?

The user who is trying to open up the report does not have Administrative rights. The operating system is Windows NT.

Suggest that either the Admins give them rights, or make the Viewer part of their standard install/image.
