We have started rolling out Business Objects XI Release 2 (former system was Crystal Enterprise 9) and our recurring daily reports have started running and emailing to recipients from this application. One of my users came to me today and said that she received a message when opening up her daily crystal report. After she double-clicked on the attached crystal report she received this message:
"Crystal Offline Viewer"
"This report was created with a version of Crystal Reports which is later than the version you are running. Some features used in the report may not be supported."

I assume this means that there is a more recent version of the Crystal Offline Viewer with Business Objects XI Release 2. Does anyone out there know where I can get the latest version?

Regards,
Bessebo

It's on the Infoview sytem, what you need to do is delete the current one and it wi;;then prompt for install.

Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Addons

and select show active x controls.

Browser version dependent.

In BOE XI R2 the installation of the Crystal Offline Viewer is no longer available from the launchpad screen.

Your user must be using the Version 9 offline viewer, hence the message they received.

There is a version XI viewer and it can be installed by running the cvwsetup.msi installer from the X:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\3.5\crystalreportviewers115\Offline folder where X is your chosen install drive.

Once your users have installed this, they should no longer receive the "This report was created with a version of Crystal Reports which is later than the version you are running. Some features used in the report may not be supported." message.

Hi,
Is it the one that says Crystal Report Viewer Control 9?

Thanks,
Bessebo
