Crystal is slow when running a subreport...

I have created 2 sections in a report.One section has a number of text boxes while the other section has a large string.The Underlying database is sql server and based on the parameter selection one of the sections is supressed.The performance of the report is very slow .Is there a way we can improve the performance.The stored procedure executes in one secon while the report tables two minutes to execute....



Any ideas or ways we can find performance bottlenects in cystal?Does displaying large strings in a text box slows down the report a lot?Any methods of making this faster?

you are going to have to describe the parts of the report a lot better than that....our "Crystal ball" is weak

For example is it running slow because you are hitting the subreport a lot? is the Subreport slow (then try to find out why???) is the main report slow???(ditto)

We have nothing to work with other than there are subreports and your report is slow....
