Crystal InfoView on a Stored Procedure with i/p parameter

I am developing a Crystal InfoView on the basis of a stored procedure with 1 input parameter(data type char) on Sybase Database.
When i access the stored procedure in the Info View Designer, it asks to give a value for the i/p parameter.
On giving a value like '01' it gives an error saying "Parameter 1 is Invalid".I have tried all sorts of combinations but no luck.
Hence i cannot proceed ahead with the InfoView.
