I am trying to write a report that only gives me the name and account number one time if the client does not have an indicator of 8 in a series of indicators

Example --

Client 1 John Doe 111
Ind 1
Ind 2
Ind 8

Client 2 Jane Doe 222
Ind 1
Ind 5
Ind 7

I want the report to give me ONE LINE that shows Jane Doe 222 as her group does not include Ind 8. Is this possible?

What version of Crystal Reports are you using and what type of database. The solution varies by version and database type.

Insert a group on {table.client} and then create a formula:

//{@ind8}:
if {Table.indicator} = 8 then 1

Then go to report->selection formula->GROUP and enter:

sum({@ind8},{table.client}) = 0

Then suppress the detail section and group footer.
