Hi,

I'm using VB6, IBM UDB(DB2) and Crystal version 6 to export a number of reports to text format which will be transmitted to a mainframe. On each new page the number one is exported on the top line of that page, this is so the software on the mainframe can see where the page breaks are. On the first page this works fine and is in the right place (10 character in from the edge) but in each subsequent page the character is still there but in front of it is a 'square' it look like an ascii character this shunts the 1 across to the 11th column. This is obviously being generated by crystal as it is not part of my code and is not on the first page. Does anyone know what this is and how I get rid of it? ( i don't want to have to programatically remove it after export).

Thanks for any help you can provide.
