Hi, I need to find out where and how to get hold of the Crystal Explorer product for our users to be able to modify existing reports in a simple, user-friendly environment (yeah right...!). There is a page on the BO (business objects) site that talks about it, but nothing further is forthcoming and it's not easy finding out about this product - even from BO! Where do I get it? Has anyone used it? All info woule be very gratefully received.
The BO ref site is:

I think you will find that this is an add on to Enterprise. In the past it was called Ad Hoc reports which was particularly useless. It allowed users to open a report installed on Enterprise and apply different select criteria to tailor the report for their needs. It was very difficult and slow to use.

I think you are expecting a low cost Crystal Reports solution, which this is not.

Thanks for that. It may be that we are looking to use 'Web Intelligence', which sounds similar in concept to the functionality you describe. Have you used that? Anyone have any thoughts about Web Intelligence?

Hi,
Actually Web Intelligence is not what you want ( it is for objects OTHER than Crystal Reports - those created by Business Objects' other tools)

You will need the Report Explorer add-on to Crystal Enterprise Professional ( and you will nedd a separate license $$ )
