crystal error

I just opened a crystal report and tried going to database>visual linking expert and got the following error:

You cannot perform this command and keep your drill-down, analyzer and alerting tabs. If you continue, the drill-down, analyzer and alerting tabs will be closed.

What does this mean? How can I view the table info without losing this info?

I think it might be because I have a preview tab open. How do I close this tab?

In the preview tab title, there is an 'X'. Click on it to close the tab. Don't click on the 'X' in the tab with the report title, that will close the report itself.
