Hello,

I was wondering where does Crystal Enterprise store all the user information. I know it does in the APS which is in my case the msde , but when I explore and look inside the table in the msde , I dont see the user's I created . Is the data stored in some encrypted format. Where are all the objects stored, like when i add reports to the system , as the crystal document suggets that all object and users and security are stored in the APS , but where in which table. I dont see any tables with the name of the object or the name of the user in any tables.

Kindly Help!

Thanks

Yes it is highly encrypted for quick access by the CE query engine..The CMC is where to go to see the objects, etc..

On the CE Launchpad, there is selection for the CSP query wizard..This will let you see some of the APS data as well..

It is not in a format that a 'regular' report generator or standard Sql can access..

This is correct - rather than querying the database, you can use the Query Builder, or you can write ASP/CSP scripts using the CE COM SDK. You can search the Business Objects site for sample code - use keywords like "SDK Sample" or similar. The Web Developer Help that comes with CE also has a lot of information on SDK properties and all that if you know a little ASP coding.
