Crystal Enterprise 8.0 + IIS 4.0 + SQL Designer query problem :-(

Hi all,

The "old" Cannot Open SQL Server error... But very ineresting:

On server:
----------
NT Server 4.0
Crystal Enterprise 8.0
IIS 4.0
Database : Informix 8 on other server.

Report:
-------
with external qurey implemented to SQL Designer

I already updated P2SODBC.DLL and patch for changing NT permission... It doesn't help.

It happened ONLY with access through the web server if report has external query(SQL Designer). All other reports are working perfect.

Another interesting thing:
I "created" another NT Server with the same componets + Crystal Reports 8.5. Result was the same - "Cannot Open SQL Server error".
But after I've updated P2SODBC.DLL - report started to work !
On support.crystaldecisions.com I saw about this only for Crystal Reports 8.0 version. They are saying that this problem already fixed in 8.5 but looks like not for Enterprise...

So, Crystal Enterprise 8.0 + external query + web access doesn't work.

How to resolve this problem ? Any ideas ?
My client doesn't have a Crystal Reports 8.5 and will not buy it. He has only Crystal Enterprise 8.0...

Does Crystal Reports 8.5 not come with CE 8.0 and visa versa

Hi,

Do you have Correct System DSN on CE Server (which should be the same ODBC name as in your SQL Designer).

When you design report using query file, where it save ?
When put to CE environment, have you put the file in same location as at the time of designing reports ?
