If it's being performed in-house at Crystal Decisions (now Business Objects) as a job-interview test, it's probably a "Research & Development" test.
I would expect it's a competence test on -
* Crystal Reports & Enterprise product suite
* Some (or all) of the OS platforms that they support.
* One or more development lanuages that they support.
