Crystal APS Service stopped and never run again 1

Hi all,

My Crystal APS service is stopped.

I try to starti it manually but I get this message:

The service did not return any error. It can be a internal error of windows.

I tried to restart wondows but the I have the same problem.

The OS is W2k Advanced Server.

It was working until yesterday...

There is someone who had the same problem. Can help me pls ?

I have the problem often...

There are a myriad of reasons why this might occur, from authentication, ip address change, temp files/disk space, wrong or conflicting .dll's...

I fear your simplest approach may be to reinstall if the usual reboot doesn't resolve it, depending upon how much is loaded on the server.

You (I?) can spend hours chasing down the culprit, only to learn that a file or the database was corrupted...

Don't just make backups, plan on using them

Thanks for helping.

I found the error: I changed the password of the SQL user and the Crystal APS couldn't start due to it (found it on the event viewer).

Now I have another problem: I didn't find how to change the password of this service and I had to go back with the password on the SQL server.

Do you know how to change the password used by this service to join the database on SQL ?

This seems to be a common problem, my DBA also changed the PW causing this same problem.

CE uses an ODBC connection to SQL server. Change the pw in the ODBC connection.
