I have a Crystal 8 report which connects to a SQL Server 7 stored procedure.
It works fine when I run it from my own desktop, but when I place it on our intranet, where it is run via Internet Explorer / Crystal Report viewer DLL, it returns an error;
"Error detected by Database DLL". If I change the report to connect to an SQL 'view' instead, it works ok.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

have you tried saving your report with data?

cheers

Check the permissions of the login id you are using to access the SQL Server. You may need to give the login you are using the proper rights to execute the stored procedure.
