Hope someone can tell me what my next step is...
I am using the version of Crystal Reports (9, I think) that cones with VB.NET. It appears to be only a partial version. We're upgrading a program that uses Crystal from an older version written in CR 8.5 and VB6.
I have Crystal 8 reports that I want to use in the new program, but I'm having issues with database drivers in the new version of CR 9. When I try to run the report thru the .NET program, I get back a message indicating "the database driver used by this report is not supported".
OK, fine, but I don't have the ability from within VB.NET to change the database driver to something that is supported. The driver appears to be an old version 7 file, and there is no way (apparently) to access the database connections of the report to change the driver. This is even after I saved a new copy of the report as CR 9 through the .NET interface.
So, do I need to get the company to invest in a copy of Crystal 9 or 10 so I can upgrade these reports? Or is there another way to do it from within VB.NET that won't require rebuilding the report from scratch? (It's a big, complicatd report).
Thanks for any advice,
CraigHartz
