Crystal Reports 9
SQL Server 7.0
Integrated into software app

My reports are all integrated into an application. When I run a report, either with parameters, or without (getting ALL results), all is well. When I click on Crystal's refresh inside the report viewer, within the app, I get the error message "Failed to open a rowset. ODBC driver manager, connection not open".
I'm using a Command structure to call the tables.

Any help would be truly appreciated. Thank you.

Any idea what software app is being used? Perhaps you can check with the developers.

It sounds like your saving reports with the data and they are never actually running, then when you try, ker-bloom.

Check the sample apps, and in the future if you need help with software (as with any technical question of any product), include the type and version, and when possible, the code that was used:

Thanks, synapsevampire:

Yes, I've also contacted the devprs and advised. It does seem as if the reports aren't actually pulling in new data.

Turns out the Command I'd created to handle the multiple outer joins in the sql query - I'd copied it over from another Command in another report, and the naming convention of the data source had imported as the name of the report file, rather than the database source itself. It's working now.
