Crystal 9-Processing Report Data - NO DATA

Dear Forum:

I'm finding that when I process a report, I get DATA from my databases when I don't use too many criteria data elements. As an example, I have a Financial Statement report created and when I run this I input Beginning and Ending dates (12/1/04-12/31/04) and I get all the data. HOWEVER if I add a data element that would select certain data such as ONLY ITEMS WITH A TYPE OF "I" for Income and "X" for Expenses, I get NOTHING. I DO get data for these elements when I just enter DATES, but when I try to be more specific I get nothing?

Is this related to my DATABASE LINKING?

Hi,
Impossible to tell without knowing what you are linking, How you are linking ( equi,left,right),and in what database,but I suspect that is the case..
If you post your table descriptions and the links you use, we may be able to tell..

When you get data do the ones that have both Income=I and Expenses =X appear?

I'll get the tables and descriptions together and post. But yes, I'm getting the data for I and X (AND all other data too) when I pull by date, but when I narrow down the criteria search to ONE OF "I", "X" then I don't get any data.
