Crystal 9, IFS, and aliases.

I am using Crystal 9, with IFS, and an Oracle back end.

IFS uses a \\ or a \ at the end of alias names to tell the system which permissions to use.

However when I try to put these into my alias, Crystal balks and complains about the invalid characters.

Several reports in this system have the \\ characters. Probably these were put in by a previous version of crystal.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to tackle this?

IFS is Industrial and Financial Systems, out of Sweden (I believe). It is a middleware application that I have to go through.

Never mind. It turns out that this was related to a specific version of crystal created by IFS.

It is a patch issue. The patch lives here:
