I am trying to build a report and what I am trying to do is figure out how to caluclate how long an action took to complete.

customer opens ticket and we log the time and date. when the work is completed we log the time and date is was resolved.

what I want to caluclate the time it took to complete based on the data I pull from the database.

Is this something hard and could someone direct me to where I might be able to set this?

John

I guess it depends how your data is arranged. I would look into the datediff function. Is the time and date one field or two. If is two fields then you would need to do the datediff on the date and the time fields and combine the results.

I hope this helps.
