Hopefully, you don't have the same problem that we do. We use CR8 professional via the Web Component (Windows NT Server 4.0 SP5). All of our users are using Internet Explorer 5.0 (BTW, same problem when we use I.E. 5.5). When users access the reports on the server over the network via I.E 5.0, they sometimes lock up. When they click on a link on a web page that directs them to the Crystal Report, the hand over the hyperlink appears and does not go away. Also, you can't do anything in the Internet Explorer at this point. You can go to any other applications without a problem. Normally, you would think that you would just control-alt-delete and then end process on the Explorer window. However, this only clears up the bug about a third of the time.
Now, what I've noticed is that when looking at the processes running (Control-Alt-Delete, task manager, middle upper tab - [sorry I forgot that tab name and I'm on a Win98 machine right now]), I've noticed 2 or 3 iexplore.exe's running. When I end process on all of them and reopen Internet Explorer, the problem is resolved. Unfortunately, our users are very annoyed by this bug and some of them only use a computer because they're forced to and can't remember these steps when I.E. locks up.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how did you solve this problem?
