IS-IT--Management
Hi,
Firstly let me thank anyone in advance for any help you can give me on this.
I have created a database within Access which houses several columns that contain specific email addresses. Creating the report I have text boxes containing contact information specific to the customer details.
I have approx 500 clients which each have 4 to 5 sub departments all of which are displayed on the report.
What I'm trying to do is to allow the user to click on the text box which contains a specific department head and when doing so crystal opens email with the department head's email address.
I have managed so far to get it to work but each time I do I get the email address with '#mailto' at the end. I can't seem to get rid of this little extra. I have set the mailto property within the Access database but can't seem to get Crystal to understand that it is an email address. It keeps coming up with a message telling me it could not open program.
I have tried creating formulas and removed the statutory 'mailto' in the Format Editor - Hyperlink screen and pointed Crystal to the field containing the email address but no joy.
Anyone got a pointers for me?
