Tom: The CR Web Component Server is derived from that developed for the Seagate Info product and this handles v.v. large user numbers (we have practical experience of supporting up to 2500 users in this) so you should not have any concerns David C. Monks

Eshan98: Licences are only required if your clients need to facilities of Info (i.e. they have to have design or schedule rights for example). If you merely want clients to view reports a good (and cheap) strategy is you use a mixed Info/Analysis environment. As it happens, the client concerned has bought a corporate-wide licence to cover their 2500 users.
My answer to you was that the WCS has in-built scalability as a result of its origins although if I were you I would seriously consider using Info for any large scale implementations due to the free server licencing model employed for this product (i.e. if I need more report processing I can simply plug in another server f.o.c.!!) DCM, I just spoke with a seagate rep who told me that we would need licenses and they could be purchased by server, named users, or concurrent. I will have them demo the product (Info)for us next week. Do you know where any of the license info is documented?
tmcdowell: IF you would e-mail me I will respond with a copy of the licencing overview prepared by Seagate for their partners which explains the Info licencing model and I will also expand on the method of keeping your licences to a minimum David C. Monks
