Crystal 8 file gets larger

Say the files size is 822. I move a field and it changes to 823, I move another field and it changes to 823, move, 824.

I removed a few text fields and it went from 824 to 823.

Save data is not selected. We run are reports using SQL server and our own application.

If it goes down on a delete, then you are not storing history. I can't say much about what determines the size of an RPT file, but I doubt that it will keep getting bigger for ever as you make changes. Ken Hamady
