I have 5 simple reports that work fine in the report designer.

These same reports run from both my FoxPro application (mainmenu.exe) and from the FoxPro development window (mainmenu.prg) on MY computer.

These same 5 reports refuse to work when called on the USER's machine that I installed them on. Neither the EXE or the PRG's can successfully run the Crystal Reports via the OCX.

I have even installed both Crystal 7 and the FoxPro software on the user's machine. Neither the EXE or the PRG's themselves can launch the reports. The reports DO work n the Crystal Report Designer on this User's machine.

Any ideas on why the user's machine fails to run the reports through the OCX when the designer still can?

What is the error or failure?

These reports aren't saved with data, are they? This could fool you into thinking that it is running fine from the design environment, when it isn't connecting.

Otherwise, this sounds like a Foxpro configuration issue to me.

Original error was OLE iDispatch exception code &quot;0&quot; from Crystal Reports cannot open SQL server.

I have since included SYS(2333,1) in the load event of the FoxPro forms (this extends additional functionality to OCX controls from FoxPro). I also tried installing mdac 2.5 on the developing machine. The user's machine has mdac 2.1 on it.

The new error is: OLE error code 0x800a5077 unknown COM status code.

I used FoxPro's installation disks to instyall the application on the user's machine. This should've installed all of the necessary drivers and files to support the operation of the OCX and ODBC sources.

Do you think I need to actually install the mdac 2.5 update on the user's machine? I'm running out of options. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated. [sig]I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.<br>

I will assume that you confirmed that the reports don't have saved data. This means that they are truly running on the new PC, not simply displaying saved data.

Since the reports run fine from Crystal's design environment, and can be launched from your other PC's application, there must be some difference in the application configuration.

I am not an expert in FoxPro configuration so I will have to bow out. Eliminating any differences between the two configurations is a good place to start.

Yes, The reports do not have saved data. They are running and I can actively browse data fields in my reports. Thanks for the input. [sig][/sig]
