Hi,
Do you have both 8.5 and 7 installed?
If so, you will find it dificult to open a report by cliking on the .rpt file, since Windows will use the most recent association to determine what program to use..
2 ways around this:
Open CR7 then load the .rpt file..
shift-Right-click on the V7 .rpt files ( each of them) and choose, by browsing to it, the CR7 exe file as the program to use..
